Dubai’s Department of Transportation has now adopted a new method in detecting coronavirus cases. Dubai now has smart helmets that detect Covid. The helmet is fitted with an infra-red camera that can scan the temperature of the driver. The helmet also has Artificial Intelligence technologies like face recognition and car number reading.
The UAE is the first to use this technology in detecting the dreaded pandemic. Lieutenant General Dahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chief of Police and Public Security in Dubai, praised the Department of Transportation Security at Dubai Police, for using the smart helmet as part of modern technologies in securing the transport sector.
On another note, Dubai Police shared a heart-warming video thanking the frontlines in the fight against covid-19. Through their official Twitter handle- @DubaiPoliceHQ, they uploaded a one-minute-fifty-four second video with a lovely message. The video features children from various nationalities, thanking the frontlines in different languages.
The video was captioned: “In all world languages, our children share a message of thanks and appreciation for all those on the frontline of defense. They also advise you to #StayHome. With regards from Hemaya International Centre, an affiliate of Dubai Police’s Anti-Narcotics Department.”
The video showcases about 12 different languages including- Arabic, English, Hindi, Urdu, Tagalog, Spanish, Chinese and Thai. The kids send across thank you messages in each of these languages as UAE’s national anthem plays in the background. Twitterati immediately began circulating the video and it garnered more than 5,000 views. People praised UAE for all the efforts taken so far to curb the spread of covid. Here are some of the tweets:
