Working in dense forests surrounded by wildlife is a difficult job. Unfortunately, the risk of an instance turning into a life-threatening episode always persists. Forest guards deployed at national parks and wildlife sanctuaries all around continue their daily jobs without knowing when they may encounter a wild animal amidst verdant jungles. Recently, two forest guards came face-to-face with a tiger at Satpura Tiger Reserve, Madhya Pradesh and here’s what happened later.
Video Of Forest Guards Facing A Tiger At Satpura Tiger Reserve Goes Viral
Indian Forest Service officer Parveen Kaswan shared the video making rounds on the X platform.
What a story of bravery and presence of mind. Shri Annulal and Dahal – two forest guards encountered a tiger in Satpura TR while on duty. One of them captured on mobile. What it takes to save wildlife and forest on field. pic.twitter.com/SuNAadit4y

The officer shared a video of two on-duty forest guards, Shri Annulal and Dahal, who encountered a wild tiger at the tiger reserve in Madhya Pradesh. To save their lives and avoid direct contact with the animal, they climbed a tree far away and recorded the incident on a mobile. “What it takes to save wildlife and forest on the field,” added Parveen Kaswan.
These forest guards faced this incident in October 2024. After hearing the loud sounds of the animal approaching, they perched on a tree branch. After the tiger left the place, they left the tree and headed to their destination. Even at such a dangerous time, they remained calm to tackle the situation.
The incident is from last month. When both of them were on duty and heard sounds of tiger approaching. Both climbed a tree on time and Annulal made this video.
Once the tiger went away both of them reached the destination safely.
Clearly showing how dangerous this field job…

🙏Great Video for those who enjoy “picnic/casual tiger sightings” from Gypsies by making noise.
This is real forest world and it’s not an easy task for sure, protecting forest from external threats and protecting themselves from both. What a presence of mind. Hats off👍— TheReviewPicker (@TheReviewPicker) November 25, 2024
