Being the 4th richest NRI in the world, Anil Agarwal gave us a home tour of his London mansion and his life there. Read on to know where he lived after moving to London.
Where Did Anil Agarwal First Live After Shifting To London?
When asked where he first lived after shifting to London, laughing away, he said, “Arey, mat puchiye.” He continued, “Paddington Station ke upar, Bed and Breakfast mein rehta tha; uss samay 7 pounds lagte the. Raat mein ek bed milta tha, clean sheets milti thi, and there was a common toilet, and subah breakfast mein bahar table par cornflakes aur ek toaster laga rehta hai. Toast pade rehte the aur chai aur coffee rehti thi.” He then revealed that he started his journey from there.

He Always Wanted To Own A Place Near Buckingham Palace
When Kamiya Jani asked Anil Agarwal if he dreamt about owning a palace near Buckingham Palace when he moved to London, he replied, “Maine bachpan mein Bihar mein suna tha ki dress aur address ye bahot important hai, toh pata lagaya ki sabse acha address kya hai? Buckingham Palace ke pass mein Mayfair, toh maine kaha, Mayfair ke pass mein hi rehte hain.”

After his morning ritual in the temple, Anil Agarwal gave us a glimpse of his London mansion. While showing us the palace, he shared the story about the place and revealed, “Palace ke aas-pass jo bhi prominent log rehte the, unko ye ghar diye jate the. 130-150 purana ghar tha; isme pehle Rothschild rehte the. Rothschild was the only non-Britisher jinko ye ghar diya gaya; he was Jewish, and he used to look after their money. He further revealed, “Change hote hote, Iranian royalty ke pass gaya aur kahin gaya. Around 30 years pehle ye humko mila.”
He also showed us his dining and conference rooms, which used to be study rooms for the kings back in time. He added that he didn’t make any changes to the place; everything is original except the furniture.
The palace featured a distinctly royal interior. From a grand dining room to an even more majestic hall, every corner reflected luxury.
