On this Sunday Brunch episode, our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, was joined by the talented and beautiful Vidya Balan. We caught her right in the cinema hall, where she was quite literally back. She was in the cinema halls and on the big screen as well. We talked to her at length about her travel plans and her favourite destinations. Want to know more? Head to the full episode!
Vidya Balan Found This Place In India Pristine
We were happily enjoying our cinema hall feast while talking endlessly about everything. Travel had to be one of the topics we discussed because she loves to travel. She is the kind of person who likes to explore places on foot. She told us she would rather see new places on her own without a guide and see the new world through her eyes and not someone else’s. That sounded like a great tip we could use while exploring a new destination.
We were curious to know about Vidya Balan’s favourite destination to travel to in India. In response, Vidya said that Himachal Pradesh is an incredibly picturesque location. She finds it pristine with the lush mountains and chilly weather. I mean, who wouldn’t, honestly? It is a perfect place to unwind and have a peaceful mind.
Vidya Balan also briefly stated that she was born and raised in Kerala and that it was difficult to decide between the two destinations. In the end, she chose Himachal Pradesh. Kerala and Himachal Pradesh are vastly distinct but also similar in many ways. We all do have that one friend who loves Himachal Pradesh. Vidya Balan is that friend.

She Admires Japan And Its Pretty Corners
Vidya Balan gushed about Himachal Pradesh and its mesmerising mountains. Recently, she visited Japan and was in awe of the country’s mannerisms and all. She was raving about Japan and how wonderful it is all the time! She said that people always maintain order and do not overtake anyone, either in queues or while driving.
The fact that Japan was so clean was one of the reasons that she kept on raving about it. In contrast to India, Japanese streets do not have any litter or even a piece of paper strewn. She travelled to Japan for two lovely weeks and never saw any filthy places. She said that there were no rubbish items such as wrappers, bits of paper, or empty cigarette packets on the streets of Japan.
Vidya Balan also told us that this cleanliness comes from the people of Japan carrying a trash bag with them at all times. They dump whatever trash they have with themselves rather than on the streets. This should be made a law in every country. Take your trash with you and dispose of it correctly, or take it home and give it to the garbage man.
