Vijay Deverakonda Calls His Home A “Boy’s Hostel”; Here’s The Funny Reason Why

Vijay Deverakonda

Our Editor-in-Chief Kamiya Jani welcomed the dynamic trio of Vijay Deverakonda, Radhika Madan, and Jasleen Royal for an enjoyable afternoon on this Sunday Brunch episode. They met at Jasleen’s cosy apartment and she brought in authentic Punjabi delicacies for all of them to indulge in. The conversation during the brunch revolved around food, travel, work, relationships, and more. Read on to learn all about it!

This Is Why Vijay Devarakonda Calls His House ‘Boy’s Hostel”

The episode started with Kamiya asking the guests if they preferred to spend their free time going out for parties or chilling at home. Jasleen promptly revealed that she is a homebody. Vijay Devarakonda added that 7 out of 10 times, he also prefers to relax at home with his friends.

He jokingly referred to his home as a “Boy’s hostel.” Vijay Deverakonda described his home theatre as a gathering spot where 15 friends could crash, with foldable mattresses sprawled out on the floor. It seems that Vijay’s house is a hub for his friends, and he enjoys having a large group around. He also revealed that his upbringing, surrounded by 60 boys, shaped his need for company. “I can never travel alone,” Vijay admitted. “I don’t like being alone because I grew up with a gang of friends around me.”

As the conversation moved to Vijay’s feelings about different cities, he shared his thoughts on Mumbai and how he feels welcomed in the city. “Hyderabad is home because it’s where my family is,” he explained. He described the laid-back vibe of cities like Kochi, Mumbai, and Chennai, appreciating each one’s unique charm.

Besides the geographical differences, he feels every city has a great relaxed vibe. Vijay Deverakonda spoke well of Mumbai, especially the view of the sea from his hotel room. As a beach lover, he enjoys the calming energy that water provides, making it an ideal place for him to unwind.

The discussion then turned to Vijay Deverakonda’s experience as an actor. He said that because he is well-known, people always love and admire him, which makes his travels more pleasurable. “I get a privileged kind of reception,” he said. Despite this, he emphasised his love for people and how he enjoys being surrounded by them, whether in Mumbai or any other place.

We also played Food Pictionary with the trio and it was super fun. Check out the video linked above right away.
