Vir Das Schengen visa

If you thought only you were facing issues while applying for a Schengen visa, then you’re quite wrong! It turns out that even celebrities like Vir Das face issues when it comes to these visas. The comedian took to social media to explain that he will now have to postpone his Dublin show because the Swedish Embassy denied him a double-entry Schengen visa.

Swedish Embassy Denies Vir Das Double-Entry Schengen Visa

Comedian Vir Das is currently in Europe for his Mind Fool Tour. He was scheduled to perform in Dublin on October 7, but he will now have to postpone the show. Why? Because the Swedish Embassy has denied his request for a double-entry Schengen visa.

Vir took to X (formerly Twitter) to explain that due to his visa issue, he would have to reschedule the show. In his tweet, he said, “The Swedish embassy in their infinite wisdom gave me a single entry and rejected my tour assistant saying they don’t believe he’s going to return to India.”

As per a Hindustan Times report, Vir Das is currently in Stockholm, Sweden. He had to apply for a double-entry Schengen visa that would have allowed him to re-enter the Schengen zone after his show in Dublin. Unfortunately, due to the single-entry visa, he cannot leave the Schengen zone for Ireland, as per his schedule. This is because, although Ireland is a part of the European Union, it is not a Schengen country.
