Viral Egg Noodles Hack Using Multiple Steel Strainers Takes Over Internet; Netizens Ask, “Who’ll Wash The Utensils?”

No Southeast Asian cuisine is ever complete without egg noodles. Even our Indo-Chinese favourite Manchow Soup has crispy noodles as toppings. Rolled, stretched or flattened, the noodles made with eggs, pack quite a bite. Recently, a video showing a viral hack to make egg noodles has taken over the Internet. A video posted by @_beautiful_._world shows the most bizarre and unusual way of making egg noodles from scratch. It’s nothing like you’d have ever imagined, let’s put it that way. The video shows eight people holding eight stainless steel skimmers, one below the other to make the noodles. The video is supplemented with a caption, that gives you instructions to make the dish.

Firstly, the eggs are cracked and then poured into the first skimmer. The beaten eggs trickle down into the second skimmer. This continues till the egg white and yolk flow into the last skimmer and fall into boiling hot oil.  It allows the eggs to form thin noodle-like strands. More than egg noodles, it resembles a fried omelette. The caption promises the hack to be a creative and fun way to enjoy eggs. Especially targeting those foodies who enjoy experimenting in the kitchen. Whether breakfast or a family meal, one can make these egg noodles in a jiffy.

Netizens Have Mixed Opinions

However, you need at least seven people holding stainless steel strainers above a wok with boiling oil. It’s interesting to see the beaten eggs trickling down into the strainers, right into the boiling hot oil. Whether it tastes good or not is something we aren’t aware of. But what we do know is that you need an army and impeccable coordination to pull out this feat of a dish.

Not surprisingly, this video clocked in a whopping 24 million views. But many foodies had mixed reactions to it. One person joked about needing eight hands to make this dish. Another pointed out at the person holding the bottom and bottom-most strainers for moving their hands and spilling the egg mixture. A Netizen even chided the content creator for failing to remove the eggshells properly.
