When it comes to celebrations, we’re all on the lookout for something unique and memorable. But have you ever considered celebrating inside a metro coach? Sounds quirky, right? Well, it’s actually happening! Recently, Agra-based vlogger Divyata Upadhyay shared a reel on Instagram that showed her witnessing a Haldi ceremony in an Agra Metro coach. Intrigued? So were many others! Read on to learn all about it!
Haldi In The Metro? Agra Vlogger’s Viral Video Sparks Debate
According to Divyata’s video, Agra Metro offers a service where you can rent out metro coaches for special events. But there’s a catch: no eatables allowed. The video also featured some festive decorations outside the coach, adding to the charm of the unconventional setting. While many netizens were sceptical about this unusual celebration spot, others found the idea amusing and fun.
Some even questioned if it was actually true. Well, it could be, since Noida Metro also offers a similar service. As part of a newly introduced policy, Noida Metro now allows passengers to hire coaches for birthdays, pre-wedding celebrations, and other parties on wheels.

Netizens Share Mixed Reactions And Call For More Clarity
However, things got a little more complicated when a user named Gauri, a part of the Agra Metro team, commented on Divyata’s post. Gauri clarified that what Divyata had mistaken for a Haldi ceremony was actually a Basant Panchami-themed kitty party. Gauri went on to request that the video be taken down, as it contained “gross misinformation.”
Of course, the internet being the internet, users didn’t hold back their reactions. Some found it hilarious that the metro authorities were so serious about differentiating between a Haldi and a kitty party. Others joked about the ban on food because, let’s be real, what’s a celebration without snacks? One user sarcastically wrote, ‘Celebration without food?? Rehne hi do fir’ Others commented that Agra Metro doesn’t seem to be very popular, with only a handful of passengers visible in the video.
In the end, whether it was a Haldi ceremony or a kitty party, the idea of celebrating in a metro coach is definitely entertaining.
