Ingredients:
- Chicken
- Onion
- Lemon
- Tomato
- Garlic
- Green chilli
- Black pepper
- Cumin seeds
- Mustard oil
- Bay leaf
- Red chilli powder
- Coriander powder
- Turmeric powder
- Garam masala
- Salt
Method:
- The first step to making Angara Chicken is marinating chicken pieces. Marinate chicken with lemon juice.
- Next, add cumin seeds and black pepper to a mixer grinder and blend.
- Add mustard oil to a saucepan and temper cumin seeds, bay leaves, black pepper, and chopped garlic. Saute till garlic pieces turn brown.
- Add chopped onion and saute for a couple of minutes.
- It’s time to add the marinated chicken to the fried ingredients and mix well. Partially cover the pan using a lid and cook for 15-20 minutes.
- Once done, add red chilli powder, cumin and black pepper powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix everything gently and coat the chicken pieces well.
- At the end, add chopped tomatoes and cook for a few more minutes.
- After the chicken pieces are cooked, turn off the gas.
- In just half an hour, Angara Chicken is ready to be served.
