This surge is attributed to Vietnam’s rich cultural heritage, stunning landscapes, and affordable, accessible travel options, bolstered by an efficient e-visa process and pro-tourism policies. In response to growing interest, atlys is waiving its Vietnam visa application fee on October 21, 2024.

The surge is also primarily driven by Tier 1 metros like Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Delhi. Solo travellers account for 66 per cent of visa applications. Group travel, particularly among Gen Z and millennials, has seen robust growth, with 38 per cent of group applications coming from younger demographics.

A number of factors underpin this increase. Vietnam’s strong flight connectivity has significantly eased travel for Indian tourists. Diverse cities like Ha Long Bay, Ho Chi Minh, and Hanoi offer experiences catering to all types of travellers.
