Visiting museums offer people an insight into the bygone era. As they get to see all the relics and artefacts from the years gone by, they also get to see how people lived in the past. And now, you have a golden opportunity to get a glimpse of the Emirati culture for free, as museums in Sharjah are open to the public for free till March 3.

According to a report by Khaleej Times, it was revealed that people can visit museums for free until March 3. Giving them an opportunity to explore the rich Emirati culture and heritage, this initiative by the Sharjah Museum Authority allows them to enter renowned museums without paying an entry fee. Yes, these include popular names, like Sharjah Fort (Al Hisn), Sharjah Calligraphy Museum, Bait Al Naboodah, and Hisn Khorfakkan.

Not just this, the Sharjah Museum Authority has also rolled out something called the Museum Express! Yes, this is a mobile bus museum initiative, which is going to be operational in Dibba Al Hisn on February 28. It will also be operational in the Heart of Sharjah on March 1 and 3. Moreover, visitors will also be able to enjoy a journey through several Sharjah collections!

Don’t Forget To Sign Up For Workshops

Additionally, they can also participate in a variety of workshops that have been designed to keep them immersed in the rich tapestry of the history and heritage of the nation. For instance, they can participate in the Al Hisn Towers workshop, which is happening at the Sharjah Fort, which will allow them to delve into the history of the iconic 1823 AD.

Similarly, the Sharjah Calligraphy Museum will offer a Letter Pendant workshop while Bait Sheikh Saeed Bin Hamad Al Qasimi in Kalba will have a photo exhibition, called Geometric and Floral Ornaments. At this point it’s worth noting that the museums are open from Saturday to Thursday from 8 AM to 8 PM and on Fridays, they are open from 4 PM to 8 PM.
