Couple Share How They Planned A Trip To Japan For ₹2.6 Lakh
Shreya and Daksh, @the_curious_odyssey, are a travel blogger couple. They often share detailed itineraries and budget travel guides to help their followers and travel lovers plan a trip to remember. Recently, they travelled to Japan and they have burst a big misconception about the country being expensive for travel.
In their latest post on Instagram, they shared that they spent only ₹2.6 lakh for a trip for two for a 10-day holiday in Japan. It is to be noted that this included their flights as well! According to them, “Japan is all about good planning.” They shared that they booked flight tickets in advance and made good use of flight offers by airlines such as Japan Airlines. They made use of the special offer by the airline that provides international travellers free domestic flights if they book their international roundtrip with Japan Airlines. This way, they ended up paying only ₹45,000 per person for round-trip flights and ₹2,000 for the visa.

Budget Break Down For Accommodation, Transportation & More
Shreya and Daksh opted for budget-friendly Airbnbs, instead of hotels, as hotels are quite expensive in Japan. For accommodations, they paid around ₹3,000 per person/night. For transportation around Tokyo, they used Suica Cards, a rechargeable smart card for trains and public transport. They spent around ₹4,000 per person on this. To reach Osaka, they took a Shinkansen train, which cost ₹8,000 per person.
Coming to food, they shared that food is relatively cheap in Japan. They spent an average of ₹1,000 per person/meal. They also visited Universal Studios, Nara Deer Park, Mount Fuji, and other places in Tokyo, Osaka, and Hiroshima & Miyajima Islands, and spent around ₹15,000 per person on all these experiences. Lastly, they shelled out around ₹10,000 per person on shopping as well. This way, they ended up spending around ₹1.3 lakh per person for 10 days.
