Imagine a street vendor busting Michael Jackson’s dance moves, mouthing his signature “Ow” while preparing an omelette for you. This can only happen in Surat’s buzzing and sometimes amusing street food scene. Let’s take you right there.

Surat Has A Street Vendor Who Busts Michael Jackson-Like Moves While Cooking

Food vlogger Sukrit Jain AKA @thegreatindianfoodie has introduced the Internet to Michael Jackson Andewala. Also known as Surat’s Dancing Dosawala, the street vendor is known for dancing while cooking. A reel posted by Jain shows the street vendor donning a hat, spinning a large piece of Amul butter on his tawa with swag. 

From a distance, he flings finely chopped onions with precision on the hot tawa and dances while roasting the onions. “Ow”, “Wow”, he screams in style while spinning in the kitchen, flinging his arms in the air and gyrating in rhythm. The passionate dancer cum cook tosses chopped capsicum and shredded cheese over the griddle. There are some Bruce Lee-like poses thrown in too. Surrounded by smoke emanating from the tawa, he looks engrossed with his performance.

Netizens Amused By His Dance Moves & Bruce Lee Style

Next, the dancing cook adds eggs and loads of cheese into the pan and smashes it evenly. Finally, he plates the dish that looks like and bhurji and tops it with lots of cheese. Jain is informed that people travel from far and wide for his dosas as he is known as Dancing Dosawala. Well, this is one street food spot where it’s not just the dish but the cooking process also that has grabbed eyeballs.

Needless to say, the comments section of Sukrit Jain’s reel was a medley of amused reactions. One commenter called him “Michael Jackson from Chor Bazaar”. Another preferred to give him the title, “Michael Kung Fu Anda”. Swiggy jumped on the bandwagon and said, “bro got that taqdeer ki topi too.”
