Gurleen Pannu Proved Her Bargaining Skills
When it comes to shopping at Sarojini Nagar, the only skill you truly need is bargaining. That’s exactly what we wanted to test: could Gurleen Pannu bargain well or not? We spotted a vendor selling T-shirts for 80 bucks and challenged Gurleen to get them for an even lower price. Well, that didn’t quite work out! Next, we moved on to buy some neck chains from a vendor selling six for just 100 bucks. Though she admitted feeling a little embarrassed to haggle over such a cheap item, Gurleen Pannu proved her skills and managed to convince the vendor to sell nine necklaces for the same price instead of just six.
She Got Into Comedy Accidentally
After a shopping spree and discovering some hidden gems in Sarojini Nagar, it was time to indulge in some great food. We finally found a table at the famous Amar Jyoti restaurant. While waiting for our meal, we had the chance to chat with Gurleen Pannu about her journey to becoming a stand-up comedian. She revealed that it happened accidentally. She revealed that she never planned on making a career in comedy. In fact, her parents didn’t even know about her interest until she got selected for Comicstaan. And now, she is a well-known name in the stand-up comedy industry, spreading cheer and laughter wherever she goes.
Further in the episode, we also got insights into the challenges that female comedians still face in the industry. To hear all about it, watch the full video on the Curly Tales app.
