The National Centre for Meteorology has issued a weather warning until 6:00 pm today. Residents can expect a significant drop in temperatures along with potential flash flooding in various parts of the UAE.
Meanwhile, satellite images also show a thick layer of cloud blanketing the entire country, indicating heavy rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning. .

The Dubai police have warned motorists to reduce speed on the road as rain and dust storms will reduce visibility to less than 2 kilometres.
The unsettled weather condition is expected to travel well into the weekend. Heavy rains accompanied by hail, thunder and even flash floods are expected from Friday to Sunday. Residents can also expect harsh winds with reduced visibility.
