What Is ‘Bharat Dish’ Launched By Lifestyle Expert Luke Coutinho That’s Inspired By PM Modi?

Inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s support of traditional Indian dishes and healthy living, renowned integrative lifestyle specialist Luke Coutinho created ‘Bharat Dish’ at the NXT Conclave. The dish is inspired by the Prime Minister’s lifestyle and dietary habits, promoting wholesome eating over fad diets and quick-fix weight-loss plans.

Luke Coutinho’s Bharat Dish

As one of the few international health leaders chosen to represent India, Coutinho was given the responsibility of developing ‘Bharat Dish’ and submitting it for approval to the Prime Minister’s Office. He had the privilege of meeting Prime Minister Modi once it was approved, which further cemented the dish’s importance as a celebration of India’s diverse culinary culture.

According to what Coutinho told The Indian Express, the Bharat Dish was created to emphasise the value of eating simply while maintaining a healthy diet, especially in light of India’s obesity problem. Seasonal superfoods with gut-healing and immunity-boosting qualities, such as winter greens, turmeric, makhanas, sattu, and millets, are incorporated into the vegetarian menu. It is carefully crafted to fulfil protein needs, supply vital macronutrients, and highlight the potency of regional Indian ingredients.

PM Modis’s Healthy India

Understanding the nutritional importance and cultural significance of traditional Indian cuisines, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has continuously encouraged their consumption. His dedication is demonstrated by his own dietary decisions, such as the inclusion of makhana (fox nuts) in his diet. The Prime Minister’s goal of making wholesome food more widely available and enticing is in line with Coutinho’s effort. He thinks that improving public health and lowering healthcare expenses can be greatly aided by embracing our culinary heritage.

PM Modi also discussed the urgent need to combat obesity and its connection to chronic illnesses including cancer, diabetes, and high blood pressure on his monthly radio show Mann Ki Baat.
