The season of Hajj is here, and people are travelling to the holy cities in Saudi Arabia from around the world. And to make it easier for the pilgrims to embark on their religious journey, Saudi Railways has returned with its Hajj Without Bag project. It is being adopted for the second consecutive time, and we are here to tell you all about it.
Hajj Without Bag Returns For The Second Edition
As revealed by Khaled Al-Farhan, who is the spokesman for Saudi Railways, ‘Hajj Without Bag’ is returning for a second time. It makes it easier for pilgrims to travel to the accommodations without having to carry their bags. As mentioned in a report by Saudi Expatriates, this implementation is happening for the second time. Through the project, pilgrims will be directly taken to their accommodation, all the while they are free from their luggage.

How Does This Work?
So, basically, what happens is that when the pilgrims leave their home country’s airport, they give up their luggage, which is directly sent to King Abdulaziz Airport, which is in Jeddah. This is done by air transport companies. After this, they cooperate and coordinate with Harmain High Speed Railway and the ground service firms. Through this coordination, the luggage is taken into the accommodation of the pilgrims in Makkah Al-Mukkaramah.
In fact, it is for this feature that the Haramain train has contracted with bus operators. This allows them to link the route to offer another unique service. With the luggage directly being transferred to buses that will take the pilgrims directly to their headquarters, it truly guarantees a hassle-free journey for the people visiting the holy city to perform their religious duty.
For those who are unaware, this is a mandatory religious duty for Muslims that they need to perform at least once in their lifetime.
