Seat squatting comes in multiple forms. Squatters may have scoped out a booked seat of a passenger who failed to show up. Some squatters try to coax other passengers out of their own seats. Regardless of what kind of squatter a passenger is, people on the Internet have some strong opinions.

A Redditor shared an incident where multiple passengers tried to occupy seats that weren’t the ones that they booked. When confronted, these people tried to argue or give excuses to avoid vacating seats for the rightful owners.

Someone shared an incident where they were upgraded to a first-class seat because the passenger didn’t show up. When the person went there, they saw someone already occupying the seat. They then found out that the woman was actually seated at the back but saw the seat and decided to occupy it.
