Someone shared an incident where they were upgraded to a first-class seat because the passenger didn’t show up. When the person went there, they saw someone already occupying the seat. They then found out that the woman was actually seated at the back but saw the seat and decided to occupy it.

The comments under this post were quite sympathetic towards the woman especially since upon confrontation, she politely vacated. Some people even went on to call the original poster pompous because he was doing essentially the same thing.
