With crowds of people trying to reach religious sites in Saudi Arabia, the authorities are doing their best to ensure that people are assisted throughout their religious journey. As a result, the Medina Health Cluster has announced the launch of an ambulance scooter service. Yes, this service will be available at the Prophet’s Mosque, which will allow paramedics to navigate through the large crowds. Not to mention, this will allow them to offer urgent care to the worshippers who are in need. Here’s more on this development.

Ambulance Scooter Service Introduced At Prophet’s Mosque

As announced by the Gulf News, the ambulance scooter service is now available at the Prophet’s Mosque. This initiative has been introduced for Ramadan 2025! With the aim of enhancing emergency medical response, the plan is to improve the speed and efficiency of emergency interventions in the courtyard. As there is dense traffic, it makes it quite difficult for traditional ambulances to access the people in need. So, the scooters will come in handy in these situations.

Medical Assistance To Several People

It’s worth mentioning that the ambulance scooters will also enable medical teams to maneuver through the crowded areas. It will allow them to reach individuals in time and attend to their distress quickly. Patients who need immediate stabilisation before they are transferred to the nearby healthcare facilities will certainly benefit from this move.

At this point, it’s worth mentioning that ever since the service was launched at the start of Ramadan, it has been able to provide medical assistance to 91 such cases. Yes, patients who require further care have been transferred to hospitals and other urgent care centres in the central region. In case you’re wondering, these include the Al Salam Endowment Hospital, Al Haram Hospital, and medical centers at Al Safiya and Bab Jibril.

So, you can certainly visit the mosque happily without having to worry about any emergencies.
