Dubai Airports Launches DXB Express Map
Just ahead of the Eid rush, Dubai Airports launched a real-time navigation tool called DXB Express Map. As revealed in a report by the Gulf News, this is going to help guide the customers across the Dubai International Airport’s busy terminals. It especially going to be beneficial during the busy holiday period. In fact, the DXB Express Map is a smart wayfinding tool that allows people to get real-time navigation across all terminals. All one has to do is scan a QR code that is displayed at any of the flight information screens. After this, the passengers will be able to locate their gate, browse the dining and retail options, and even find nearby facilities quickly.
The Launch Comes Ahead Of Eid Rush
This comes at a time when the Dubai International Airport is bracing for an unprecedented holiday surge. Yes, over 3.6 million guests are expected to pass through the terminal during the Eid al-Fitr break. This will be from March 26 to April 7, and It is expected that the busiest day of the period will be April 5, Saturday. After all, 3,09,000 travellers are expected to pass through the airport on the day! The daily total traffic is set to an average of 2,76,000 passengers, being the sharpest rise project for the first week of April.

Demand For Key Markets Strong
It is expected that departures during the Eid week are also going to see a surge by 19%. This is compared to the average weekly volumes over the past months. Demands for key markets like India, Pakistan and the United Kingdom remain strong as spring break coincides with the Eid holiday. Traffic will also see a rise to other countries like Turkey, Italy, and Sri Lanka for leisurely holidays.
