- Whipped honey is basically raw honey in a different texture. The texture is rather fluffier, cloudier and softer yet the nutritional value remains the same.
- This is done by aerating the honey using mixers and blenders to incorporate air and give it a frothy texture. The result is a creamy and delicious treat that can be used on bread slices, tea or coffee, pancakes, waffles, and more.
- Many opt to whip the honey when it crystallises over time. If you have raw honey stored in jars then it is bound to crystallise which makes it a little difficult to use the honey.
- By whipping honey, it becomes easier to use and spread. There is a slight change in sweetness and flavour which makes it a great condiment.
- It has a milder taste because the process allows the natural sweetness of honey to shine through.

Preparation:
- Pour out a jar of raw honey into your mixer or whisk machine. Quantity is not a problem.
- Turn your whisk to medium-high and let it whip the honey for about 20 minutes or so.
- Slowly, you will notice the honey will change its colour. Once in a while stop the mixer, scrape all the edges and bring the honey together so it is evenly done.
- After about 20 minutes, stop the whisk and pour out your freshly whipped honey into a new jar. Store it well and enjoy!
It Is Important To Store It Properly
Pure, raw, unheated honey may naturally crystallize over time.
When the honey crystallizes, it’s a sign that the honey is high quality and the crystals even preserve the flavor of the honey.

You can’t just leave the freshly whipped honey out in the open or forget to close the lid tightly because it will change its fluffy and soft texture.
- Whipped honey should be kept in a dark place.
- If moisture gets to your whipped honey, it will change the entire fluffy consistency, so keep it in tight containers.
- Storing the jars at places with high temperatures can cause the honey to become runny and lose the fluffed-up consistency. Hence, people living in tropical climates have to take better care and keep this fluffy treat at a consistent temperature.
