Fitness Coach Reveals Food Hacks To Balance Blood Sugar Levels
If you’ve ever wondered if it’s better to eat toast than plain white bread, then Ralston D’Souza has the answer. His newest reel reveals that toast is better for your health than regular white bread. That’s because toasting the bread lowers its glycemic index. But you know what’s even better? Freezing a slice of bread and then toasting it. By freezing the bread, resistant starch is formed. So, you can lower the glycemic index by almost half, explain D’Souza.
Next, he informs his followers to consume green unripe bananas as one can get about 20 times more resistant starch than ripe bananas. It helps to manage your blood sugar levels as it results in a low blood sugar spike. Then, comes a rice hack, which many would be aware of. Cooking rice and then refrigerating it, increases the resistant starch, which in turn lowers the glycemic index. This means, a low blood sugar spike and even lower calorie intake.
