Ahead of the summer holidays, the tourism industry is noticing a few travel trends. Indian travel enthusiasts are all set to explore the world this summer season. From domestic places to foreign destinations, the demand is skyrocketing for both.

Travel predictions by Booking.com state that 57 per cent of Indian travellers are planning to enjoy a long domestic trip this summer. Also, 43 per cent have a desire to plan long vacations spanning over 5 days in foreign destinations.

India is home to picturesque mountains, hilly places, and beaches to explore. All of these alluring landscapes are currently in demand. What better than spending a few days on nature’s lap, right? 50 per cent of Indian travellers plan to visit the mountains. This was followed by 48 per cent who wish to enjoy beach holidays and 37 per cent who wish to spend time in cities.

Travellers with big budgets are excited to spend a few days exploring a scenic foreign destination. Indian visitors are interested in both short and long-haul overseas trips this summer. 40 per cent of travellers are ready to travel within the Asia Pacific region followed by 40 per cent taking long flights to visit New York, London, and famous European countries. And 20 per cent are booking trips to visit the Middle East.
