White Tigress Delivers Two Cubs At Nandankanan Zoo, Bhubaneswar

Known for its successful tiger conservation program, Nandankanan Zoological Park’s white tigress Mousumi gave birth to two adorable cubs on the night of June 7. According to The Times of India, the first cub was born at 9:15 PM, and the second arrived at 11:03 PM in the 28-B enclosure of the zoo.

The zoo authorities took to social media platform X to announce the news. They also mentioned that the cubs are a result of mating between Mousumi and a red-colour tiger named Rajesh, and the process took place on February 27 and 28. Furthermore, while one cub appears to be normal-coloured, the other seems to be white. As of now, the sex of the cubs has not been determined as they are currently under the care of their mother.

It is to be noted that both parents of the new cubs were also born at Nandankanan Zoological Park. The white tigress was born to Manish and Sneha in 2016, and Rajesh arrived in 2018 to parents Roshan and Bijaya. Also, this marks the second litter of tigress Mousumi.
