The initial plans were to operate the train between Bengaluru and Hyderabad via Raichur. But now, there has been a change in the plans and the train will not be passing by this place. Initially, the South Western Railway recommended Raichur as one of the places en route as it could help in decreasing the overall time taken to complete the journey. But, the proposal could not be approved. The reason is some technical restrictions. To pass the Vande Bharat Express via Raichur, the Raichur-Guntakal train section needs electrification.
