Ramadan is almost here and as the holy month is set to begin in just a matter of days, Dubai has made some incredible announcements. As revealed in a report by Gulf News, it was mentioned that Dubai plans to construct 55 new mosques! Additionally, there are plans to expand Friday sermon translations into English as well. 55 New Mosques To Open In Dubai

The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department announced a bunch of important developments. These developments are a part of its latest report on Qualitative Achievements of the Mosque Affairs Sector in 2025. As revealed, it is constructing 55 new mosques in Dubai. With major expansion plans, Dubai has already inaugurated 24 new mosques 2024. These were built at a cost of AED172 million and could accommodate 13,911 worshippers. Now the construction is already underway for 55 new mosques and has an investment of AED475 million.
It’s worth mentioning at this point that these new mosques will have the capacity to accommodate 40,961 worshippers.

3-D Printed Mosque To Open In 2026

The sector is also preparing a mosque guide. It aims to achieve a seven-star rating for masks, which is based on sustainability standards. Moreover, there are future projects as well, which aim to translate Friday sermons into English.
In fact, there are plans to open the 3-D printed mosques in the second quarter. This would cover 70% of the mosques, thereby, promoting inclusivity of the Islamic message. In fact, just a few days ago, Dubai inaugurated several new mosques. The Ibrahim Ali Al Gergawi Mosque in Mirdif and Ata Al-Rahman Mosque in Al Barsha were some of the mosques that were recently accommodated. Both of these mosques could accommodate 554 worshippers and 504 worshippers, respectively.
