The allure of pristine beaches and azure waters has always been a timeless draw for travellers seeking relaxation and rejuvenation. Indian tourists are expanding their horizons in search of unique and rewarding travel experiences, whether it’s the serene beaches of South Goa or the ancient grandeur of European towns like Athens and Istanbul.

With approximately 330% more searches for stays for the forthcoming long weekend, South Goa has become the most popular Indian destination domestically, demonstrating its attractiveness as the go-to beach location. From yoga retreats overlooking the sea to holistic spa treatments infused with local traditions, coastal destinations offer a holistic escape from the stresses of urban life. There’s also the cultural attraction of places like Varanasi, Jaipur, and Pondicherry, along with the popularity of hill stations like Mussoorie, Ooty, and Manali, which generate interest in short weekend trips during the forthcoming long weekend. Indian travellers search for beachfront accommodations, followed by amazing views and pools.

This trend reflects a desire for escapism and a deeper yearning for diverse experiences and cultural exploration.

Bookings for non-urban places have increased by around 70% and family-centric searches have increased by about 20%. This indicates a notable trend towards peace and shared experiences.
