Karan Kundrra has been a common face since he started his career in the year 2009 with the Hindi TV serial, ‘Kitani Mohabbat Hai.’ Ekta Kapoor spotted this chocolate boy on the popular social media app, Facebook. She picked him up and quite literally plastered his face all over the Internet. We are glad Ekta saw him and cast him in Hindi TV serials. On this episode of Tere Gully Mein, Karan Kundrra met with our anchor, Arohi Thatte, to scout the streets of Sion and visit the Gurudwara Shri Dashmesh Darbar in Sion Koliwada. Karan Kundrra Has A Punjabi Dad & Malayali Mom
We were exploring the lanes of Sion and its yummy food places. So we had to ask him what were his food preferences. He told us that he doesn’t frankly have any specific food preferences. Karan told us that’s because he has been fortunate enough to have a Malayali mom and a Punjabi dad.
He has had the best of both worlds in the food arena therefore he said that he simply loves food, no matter what. We were quite surprised to know that he has a Malayali mom because he looks and behaves like a proper Punjabi Munda. Hmm, we get it Karan, looks are deceiving.
This combination of north and south parents gave Karan an outlet to fall in love with food and not be picky about it. As a result, he honestly doesn’t have any favourite cuisine. He kept on emphasizing in this video that he loves food and is Punjabi. Certainly, we could see that as he enjoyed gorging on delicious lassi, Amritsari Chhole Kulcha, Gurudwara’s langar and more.
He Told Us That He Is Great With Improvisation
We played a fun game with Karan Kundrra called ‘Never Have I Ever’. It was quite interesting to know some of these things about him, you will be shocked to hear some of the answers. We enjoyed BM Fresh Juice Centre’s pineapple and orange mix juice and Kokam soda. He went on to ask the shopkeeper if there was any Vodka in pineapple and orange mix juice because it was so strong yet so good. Then he suggested he really should do that.
Arohi Thatte asked Karan if he ever improvised his lines, he chuckled and said yes. He is pretty great with improvising situations and lines. So much so that he joked that the scriptwriter should have thought of adding those punch lines. We can clearly see that he is good with it.

Karan Kundrra was in several Hindi TV serials and films including Splitsvilla, Bigg Boss, Gumrah The End Of Innocence, and Roadies. His last appearance was in Tere Ishq Mein Ghayal, where he played a vampire and won hearts yet again. Did you know that he was tagged as ‘Dal Chawal’ by his current girlfriend, Tejasswi Prakash?
