With Gym, No Hostel Restrictions & 24 Hr Food Ordering, IIT Bombay Student Calls The Campus A “Tech Nerd’s Paradise”

Hostel curfews, sneaking in deliveries without alerting the warden, and trying to find a good place to hang out on campus, that’s what college life was for many of us. But it looks like the students at IIT Bombay lucked out! According to a student’s X (formerly Twitter) post, IIT Bombay is a “tech nerd’s paradise.” In a series of tweets, he explained how the CSE department has everything from sports facilities to cosy hostel rooms, and we’re definitely envious!

IIT Bombay Student Calls CSE Department Campus A Paradise

Vijendra Kumar Vaishya (@VaishyaVijendra) is currently pursuing a master’s programme in computer science at IIT Bombay and he is having the time of his life there. According to his post on X (formerly Twitter), the CSE department of IIT Bombay is a “tech nerd’s paradise.” In a series of tweets, he talked about the campus, hostel life, students, teachers, and facilities at the campus.

In his first month at the IIT Bombay campus, he says he is living the dream college life and is “making friends, connections, and having all the fun.” He explains that he has classes just two days a week. He ends up spending a lot of time in labs, finishing assignments, and attending events.

Furthermore, according to his post, the campus has a vibrant atmosphere and students can be seen working on their laptops, enjoying lots of coffee, and hanging out at various “chill spots.” He also appreciated his seniors, teachers, and lab crew for being helpful.

Cosy Hostel Rooms With No Restrictions & Multiple Spots To Chill

Coming to the hostel in IIT Bombay, Vijendra described them as “cosy.” He also explained that “there are no hostel restrictions” and even “girls’ hostels don’t lock up.” And that’s not all, he also explained that the students have permission to “order food 24*7 inside the campus.” That means the students can enjoy midnight meals while they’re working late at night.

The campus also has a hospital and fitness facilities like gym, tennis courts, and a swimming pool. So, according to Vijendra, “if you’re not studying, you’re working out or swimming.”
