New Zealand Tourist Checks Into Airbnb In Bali
Bree Robertson from New Zealand decided to turn into a globetrotter. So, she quit her nine-to-five job in June and shifted her base to Indonesia. Since then, she has been documenting her travels on TikTok under the username @atypical_adventure. Bree booked an Airbnb in East Bali for a romantic getaway with her partner. The Airbnb cost her $80 ( ₹6356) per night. The property promised scenic views, a spacious dining area and whatnot. It also had great reviews.

Realises It’s An Abandoned Villa
Since the website mentioned that the host had a response time of an hour, Bree thought the rental was still accepting active bookings. Once she checked into the Bali villa Bree realised that it was an abandoned property. She made a TikTok video documenting her accommodation nightmare. Resembling a haunted mansion, the villa had broken windows, overgrown bushes and was completely desolate. There was no one at the property. After the video went viral, many TikTok users questioned how Airbnb can still list this property. Bree asked Airbnb for a refund, and the property aggregator delisted the Bali villa.
