The ‘cake or not cake’ trend on social media has to be one of our absolute favourites in recent times. Seeing bakers make hyper-realistic cakes that look like everyday things is very fascinating. Taking this trend a step further, Instagrammer Marian Sarkisian (@cakesbymarian_) pranked her father by making a slipper cake and here’s how it went down.

Woman’s Slipper Cake Prank Shocks Father

From toiled paper and Biscoff spread jars to chicken nuggets, talented baker Marian Sarkisian can give her cakes any shape and form! One scroll through her Instagram account and we bet you’d agree with us on this. Recently, she used this talent of hers to prank her father. She made a very realistic-looking slipper cake and left the internet impressed with her talent.

With the help of a flip-flop mould, black frosting, and already baked cake, Marian replicated her father’s slippers. She started by adding a layer of black frosting, followed by a layer of cake that was cut to fit the mould. She topped it with another layer of frosting and then added other details on the slipper.

She then placed the cake slipper on the floor and called out to her dad. Her father is then seen entering the frame, barefoot. Upon seeing his slippers, he puts them on and slips from the side that was made with cake! Flabbergasted, it takes him a few seconds to understand what happened and then breaks into a laugh.
