Vidhi, a passionate advocate for sustainable living, recently shared an inspiring video of her garbage station at home on Instagram. The post offers practical tips on reducing waste and living a more eco-friendly life. Vidhi emphasises that while it’s challenging to give up conveniences like air conditioning, cars, and fridges, managing trash is something within reach for everyone.
Woman Shares Video Of Her Garbage Station At Home
In her video, Vidhi introduces viewers to her “garbage station.” This area of her home, though not aesthetically pleasing, is her favourite spot. Here, she sorts and manages all her household waste, ensuring that nothing unnecessary ends up in the dustbin. The station is divided into two main sections: the Recycling Station and the Composter.
The Recycling Station is where Vidhi collects all her dry waste. This includes plastics, cardboard, old medicine leaves, tea waste, and food grains. Vidhi meticulously cleans and stores these items, knowing it will take four to five months for them to be recycled.
Adjacent to the Recycling Station is Vidhi’s composter. In this bin, she turns organic waste into compost. However, she makes an important distinction: not all organic waste goes into the composter. Citrus peels, for instance, are reserved for making bioenzymes. Vidhi explains that bioenzymes are versatile and powerful cleaning agents, which she creates from the citrus peels.
