Picture this: you are strolling down a busy street in pouring rain, with an umbrella in one hand and your bae in another. You stop by for sizzling hot bhutta to compliment the romantic weather. Chargrilled corn, slathered in butter, masala, lime and cocooned in nostalgia. We’re sorry to interrupt this fever dream as there’s a bhutta hack in town and all it needs is a… toaster. Read on to know why this hack has irked Netizens.

A Corny Hack: Woman Grills Bhutta On Toaster

Content creator and TikToker Kate Heintzelman AKA @katewilltryanything is known for her unusual hacks. This time, she touched upon a toaster hack to make grilled corn. And it’s nothing like you’d imagine! In the reel shared by Kate, first, switches on the toaster and places two corn cobs on either side. Next, The cobs are topped with rectangular slices of butter and layered with pepper, salt and seasonings.

As the corn cobs sizzle over the toast, acting as a barbeque grill, the butter melts all over the corn (and into the toaster too). Kate slowly turns the corn cobs over to cook on the other side as well. The seasoned butter is spread all over the cobs. Slowly, the cobs gain a brown hue on their side as they are cooked on the toaster. She keeps turning the corn cobs over so, they get a chargrilled look on all the sides.

Netizens Are Shocked By The Mess

But what shocked Netizens the most about this hack was the mess it entailed. Copious amounts of butter oozed all over and even inside the toaster while the corn cobs looked barely done. The whole point of hacks is the convenience it brings to the kitchen. However, the supposed “hack” of using a toaster, seemed quite tedious to grill corn.
