Many people are going gaga over this gorgeous girl who zooms from the top of a cliff straight into our hearts. People praised her not only for her agility but also for breaking stereotypes.

The woman who undertook this marvellous feat is named Divya Maiya who is a non-residential Indian or an NRI. Not only is she an amazing skier, but she is also the CEO of SAATH. She took to her Instagram account and posted a video of her skiing in a saree.
She posted the video on the 11th of April and since then, it has gone viral. Netizens, especially desi ones, are showering her with loads of love for providing a positive representation of Indians and our traditional garment. Usually, skiing in sarees would be thought of as at least impossible, if not just plain crazy. However, she managed to do what most couldn’t even dream of doing.
She accomplished the task and did it exceptionally well. Women in skiing are relatively uncommon, so seeing a South Asian woman skiing in a traditional saree is a breath of fresh air.

SAATH, the organisation that she is spearheading, stands for South Asian Arts and Theatre Association. The organisation takes efforts to showcase the cultural, artistic, and literary heritage of the South Asian region.
Her skiing in a saree has won the hearts of millions of desis who have wanted a positive representation of South Asians abroad.
