A woman travelling by train has posted a video that quickly went viral and raised an online conversation about public etiquette after calling out fellow travellers who play music or videos aloud during long journeys instead of using headphones. Scroll down to know more about it.

Woman Asks Fellow Traveller To Use Headphones

The woman, identified as Trish, shared a video on her Instagram account, @trish_pl13, reminding fellow travellers to be more considerate and avoid disturbing others in shared spaces. In the video, Trish stated that she had witnessed that many passengers seemed to ignore basic travel etiquette by playing audio on speaker, which made everyone around them part of their entertainment.

“Hi, I am travelling by train today, and I have noticed something: some people lack basic etiquette. They do not use headphones and fail to mind their own business, making everyone else a part of it. I don’t want to listen to your music, nor do I want to know what you are listening to, but you don’t give me peace for nine to seven hours while travelling. So please have some etiquette and learn that, and also please teach your class. Thank you,” she said.

Her video pointed out a common issue faced by many train passengers, especially on long-distance journeys, where loud music, videos and speakerphone conversations can disturb those who want to rest, work or simply enjoy a quiet trip.

Public transportation often calls for people to share crowded spaces for several hours, making simple routines such as using headphones an important part of being considerate towards fellow passengers.

How Did Social Media React To It?

As soon as the video was posted, people started sharing their mixed views, while some supported the woman, others stated otherwise.

One user commented, “Day by day this disgusting behaviour is increasing.”

Another said, “Exactly, they even treat it as their house; it’s disgusting.”
