World’s First Om-Shaped Temple Opens In Rajasthan
After a wait of 28 years, the much-anticipated Om Akaar Temple was finally inaugurated in Rajasthan. The prana pratishtha ceremony of the temple took place on February 19. The grand opening ceremony was attended by many saints, sages, and even the CM of Rajasthan, Bhajan Lal Sharma.
Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the foundation stone of the Om Akaar Temple was laid in 1995. It took about 28 years for the temple to be fully constructed. Its structure, especially the Om-shaped design, has left many impressed with its architectural beauty. The temple is located in Jadan Village in the Pali district of Rajasthan.

Facts To Know About This Unique Temple
The Om Akaar Temple is quite impressive in its design and size. With its unique shape, it is believed to be the first Om-shaped temple in the world. The temple is spread across 250 acres and stands at a height of 135 feet. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva and has 1,008 idols of the deity and 12 Jyotirlingas for worship.
The temple is divided into four sections and is standing strong on 2,000 pillars. The samadhi of Swami Madhavananda is placed within the temple with statues of seven sages around it. The temple premises will soon have schools and colleges in it as well.
