Think Dubai has done it all? Think again! The city just stepped into the future with MYATA Platinum Lounge, a restaurant and hookah lounge boasting the world’s largest 3D-printed interior of a restaurant in Dubai. Crafted by London-based architecture studio DA BUREAU, this jaw-dropping space is on track to earn a Guinness World Record by the end of February. And trust us, this isn’t just another pretty venue, it’s a full-on experience.
Dubai’s Newest Lounge, Myata Has A 3D-Printed Interior
The centrepiece of this revolutionary project? A sprawling canyon-like structure made from over 20,000 3D-printed components. Using thirty-five 3D printers, DA BUREAU brought this vision to life with recycled plastic, proving that sustainability and luxury can, in fact, go hand in hand. With textured paint finishes, these flowing, sculptural forms resemble natural canyons, seamlessly blending technology with organic beauty.
But this isn’t just about aesthetics. The project aligns with the UAE’s ambitious sustainability goals, which aim to slash carbon emissions in the building sector by 8.8 million tons annually by 2030. Talk about a futuristic win-win!
A Space That Feels Like Art
DA BUREAU didn’t just create a lounge; they engineered an entirely immersive environment. The design is inspired by canyons, ever-changing landscapes sculpted by wind and water. Inside, these formations twist and turn, creating an intimate, cocoon-like setting, while outside, they form a terrace that offers a peaceful escape from the city’s hustle.
According to Boris Lvovsky, CEO and Co-founder of DA BUREAU, the space aims to transport visitors away from the noise of Dubai’s metropolis into a tranquil, cave-like sanctuary. Mission accomplished!
Lighting That Elevates The Experience
What’s an otherworldly space without an equally mesmerising lighting concept? Enter Yarko-Yarko Studio, the creative geniuses behind the lounge’s ethereal glow. Instead of harsh artificial lights, MYATA Platinum Lounge is bathed in a soft amber hue, mimicking the warmth of a sunset. This lighting doesn’t just illuminate; it enhances. The glow highlights the intricate canyon textures, the elegant bar, and even the hypnotic swirls of hookah smoke.
Adding to the drama, subtle art effects play with light and shadow, creating a dynamic atmosphere that shifts throughout the night. At certain angles, the lighting forms an almost halo-like effect, making the space feel even more surreal. It’s an Instagrammer’s dream and a designer’s masterpiece.
