Soon, the world’s largest market for foodstuff, fruits, and vegetables will be coming up in Dubai. Aligning with the emirate’s strategies for enhancing investment and economic opportunities, it aims to double the size of the Dubai economy. This will thereby transform the emirates into one of the top economic cities globally, by the year 2023. The plan is to develop the largest logistics hub in the world, which will be for the trading of foodstuffs, fruits, and vegetables. This expansion and doubling of the current market area is bound to support the economic agenda, thereby creating larger commercial and investment opportunities.

Logistics Hub For Foodstuffs, Fruit & Vegetable Trade
In fact, two major entities, Dubai Municipality and DP World will be working together to develop this logistics hub. Announced on Wednesday by His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, he is the first Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of the UAE. In fact, the expansion of the fruit and vegetable market will be managed by DP World, which is expected to create more investment opportunities. As such, it will also be a destination for markets, export, and export operations for the region and for the world in several sectors.
Finally, it’s worth mentioning that a unified trade window will also be introduced for all procedures and the entire customer journey.
