Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest tower, will now display tastefully picked art work on its 828-metre-high. The new initiative is a platform for budding and professional artists alike. Artists Can Now Display Their Art Work On Burj Khalifa
This year, Dubai landmark’s light show, will have something handmade to flaunt. The show projects images and videos onto the tower’s world famous exterior. Budding and professional artists can submit their artwork, which will then be displayed on the tower.
The Burj Khalifa Open Call initiative invites all artists, and graphic designers to submit their designs ahead of the light show. The month-long campaign, starts off on Sunday, November 22. Every week, one design will be selected and projected on the Burj Khalifa. Submissions are open until Thursday, December 31. Both individual artists or teams from anywhere in the world can submit their light or 3D-mapping designs online.
Burj Khalifa To Display Fireworks & Laser Show On New Year’s Eve
The news comes in celebration with the tallest tower’s New Year celebration. On Thursday, December 31, the Burj will be lit up with rockets, firecrackers, and a laser and light show, synchronised with The Dubai Fountain. The show “promises to reflect the true celebration of Dubai”.
Restaurants and hotels on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard and The Dubai Mall terraces have already started taking bookings for the night’s celebrations. In addition, families can also enjoy the night at the Burj Park, where they can hop around food and beverage outlets and enjoy New Year’s Eve events from around the world in a large screen.
