GDRFA Launches Salama In Dubai
The GDRFA has launched Salama, which is a new AI-powered digital platform. This platform allows residents to complete their visa renewal in just a few minutes. All they have to do is download the updated document directly from the platform. As a result, paperwork is eliminated and so is the long waiting time. As revealed in a report by Khaleej Times, The AI automatically recognises their details as soon as the user logs in.
So, once the AI recognises the details, it displays the dependent’s visa status and also highlights how many days remain before it expires. The applicants will then have to select the renewal duration and the system will process the request in an instant!

This is a great platform as Salama streamlines the renewal of residency visas for family members. And the best bit? It’s all possible with just a few clicks on the platform!
In case you are wondering, previously this process would take one to three hours, depending on the document’s completeness. Now it’s just a matter of one or two minutes when all the documents are in order. Moreover, the service is currently applicable only to the residents for visa renewals. With plans for the second phase to expand services for visitors and tourists, there are several more services planned for the future by the GDRFA.
