The future is here. What if we tell you that in the near future, you could stay in small hotel pods, bang in the middle of the sea, and even steer your pods across the sea to a different island or destination? Sounds too good to be true? Well, it’s not. Italian designer Pierpaolo Lazzarini has unravelled his latest designs for a floating hotel pod called Pearlsuite. At first glimpse, it looks like a spaceship floating in the sea. Here’s what’s exciting about this.
Pearlsuites Are Low-Cost, Sustainable Floating Pods
Italian designer Pierpaolo Lazzarini’s floating room, Pearlsuite has grabbed quite eyeballs on social media. The floating rooms were designed for a company called Jet Capsule which promises ‘floating living solutions’. A report by TimeOut revealed that the floating hotel pods are low-cost, sustainable and a sure shot way for hotels to easily expand their business. The sci-fi pods have hydrogen batteries and are eco-friendly thanks to it being 100 per cent solar-powered.

Pods Are Equipped With Engine & GPS To Ferry Them To Another Location
Measuring 7m in diameter, the pods have a 1m long ramp or walking deck so guests can enjoy panoramic views of the deep blue sea. The Pearlsuites have a retractable roof to soak in the warm sunshine. And the pods feature kitchenettes and ensuite bathrooms. They also have the potential to be mobile too. The Pearlsuites have an engine so guests can ferry the entire pod to another location if they want, with the help of the GPS.So it’s literally like staying in a high-tech houseboat.
