Mumbai Is A Top Choice For Hobby-Based Travel
Asia welcomed over 316 million international visitors in 2024. This huge number of travellers marked a significant recovery from recent years. To understand what is driving this travel spirit among the people, a team at Bounce.com delved into the most popular destinations with travellers in the Asia-Pacific region. They discovered that a whopping 40% of young adults are now seeking activity-fueled and hobby-based travels.
Interesting data revealed that Singapore is the best place in the Asian-Pacific region for those interested in exploring hobbies. From landmarks like Merlion Park to its cultural diversity and unique food scene, Singapore is a perfect holiday destination for anyone, and hobbies are no exception. The city-state had an overall score of 8.01 out of 10, based on collating data on cycling routes, running trails, rock climbing routes, and more. With five cities in the top 10 list, Australia emerged as the go-to destination for anyone looking for an adventure.
Mumbai bagged the 8th spot on the list with an overall score of 6.64 out of 10. The report noted that Mumbai saw 4,710 annual Google searches for running events, 2,490 searches for cycling, 330 for rock climbing, and 22,600 for cooking classes. It was also the only Indian city to feature on the top 10 list.
