Arunachal Pradesh, also known as the land of the rising sun, is one of the most secluded and beautiful places to visit in India. Be it the magical lakes in Tawang or the lush valley in Ziro, everything about this northeastern state is special and beautiful. And if you are planning to visit Arunachal soon, you must know that a permit is required to enter the state. And here’s how you can get a permit to visit this northeastern state.
Here’ How You Can Opt For A Permit For Arunachal Pradesh
Where To Apply For The Permit
When it comes to the inner line permit, you can apply for it online here. The normal permit, which takes 5-7 working days to process, will cost you Rs.100, whereas the rapid permit, which you will get within a few hours, will cost Rs.400. If for some reason, you are unable to arrange a permit online, you can always get it at Delhi, Kolkata, and Guwahati airports. Alternatively, you can also ask the locals whose place you will be staying to help you arrange the permit.
Permit Category And Documents Needed
If you are a solo traveller, you can opt for the Single Permit option, whereas for groups, you will choose the Group Permit Option. Now, when it comes to documents, you will have to upload an id proof (Pan Card, Passport, Voter ID, etc.), a passport size photo, and the local address of the homestay/hotel you are living in. Once all the documents are varied and processed, you will get an email with your permit link, which will then direct you to the payment link.
Who Can Apply For ILP
When it comes to applying for an inner line permit online, only Indian nationals can apply it from the portal. Foreign nationals will have to take the help of their guides/hotel/homestay people to apply for the permit.
