When you think of Zomato and Guinness World Record, you’d probably think it’s got something to do with food. Well, this time that isn’t the case. Food delivery aggregator Zomato has entered the Guinness World Book of Records for conducting the largest first-aid lesson in a single venue.

Zomato founder and CEO Deepinder Goyal took to X (formerly Twitter) on June 13 to share good news. He announced that on June 12 in Mumbai, Zomato broke the Guinness World Record for conducting the largest first aid session at a single venue, together with 4300 delivery partners. The company’s 30,000 delivery partners are now professionally trained to provide medical help during roadside emergencies.
He gave a big salute and thanked these Emergency Heroes of India. This mega first aid lesson which took place at Nesco, Goregaon in Mumbai. It was the biggest on-the-ground first aid training programme ever held across the world. Zomato chose five delivery agents to work with their core team for two months at their Gurugram headquarters ahead of the event. To improve services and brainstorm solutions for the greater delivery partner community, the delivery partners chosen by Zomato brought forth their ideas and suggestions.
The pictures shared by Zomato on X showed 30,000 delivery partners wearing red Zomato uniforms attending the first aid lesson. They were seen practising CPR on mannequins. Another shows Zomato’s Guinness World Record acknowledging the amazing feat.

Many took to the comments section to hail the food delivery platform on its recent achievement. @TopDriverIndia called it a valuable gesture. And also suggested driver education or training for riders for their safety and well-being. The X user stated that many considered food delivery riders, risky drivers.
