In the month of August, Parsis celebrate their arrival in India and the acceptance of their new homeland. Parsi New Year, also known as Jamshedi Navroz is on August 17th this year and we couldn’t be more excited! Not because of anything else but for the unconditional love towards Parsi meals. SodaBottleOpenerWala is a tribute to the dying legacy of a Bombay Irani Café, bringing with it typical Parsi cuisine and some Irani specialties. This quintessential Irani café brings to you Bhonu or the Parsi feast on 17thAugust 2017 as a part of the Parsi New Year celebrations.

The Non-vegetarian Bhonu (₹ 700++) comprises of a sweet and sour Gajar Nu Achar, Saria-the Parsipapad, a classic Salad Shirazi, MithuDahi, Chutney eeda na pattice or egg pattice, Fish Kebab, Masala ni dal made the authentic Parsi way, feasty Mutton pulav, Kachumbar, Jardaloo chicken cooked with apricots, a recipe passed down with every generation of a Parsi household and Rotli or Roti made the Parsi way. There is also a Vegetarian Bhonu available at ₹ 600 plus taxes.

The new set menu ‘Bawa nu Bhonu’ at Dinshaw’s Express Cafe in Oshiwara will leave your tummy and heart so full. The vegetarians can enjoy Potato Pattice, Mushroom Salli, Veg Dhansak with Rice while for the non-vegetarians there is Kheema nu Pattice, Chicken Farcha, Chicken Dhansak with Rice and Patra nu Machchi.of-course. For desserts, they have the authentic Pallonji’s Soda and Parsi Kulfi.
