Recently, the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority took to its official account on the next mention that it has completed a series of road improvement projects. Yes, this has happened across 14 sites in Dubai in the year 2023, as a result, travel time has been reduced by half! Here is all about it.

Dubai RTA Road Improvements Make Traffic Smoother On 14 Sites

Revealing on its official account on X, the Dubai RTA mentioned that it has completed road improvement across 14 sites in Dubai in 2023. As a result, travel times have been reduced in some locations by a whopping 50%, thereby boosting vehicular capacity. Not to mention, it was also revealed by the Arabian Business that in some places, this vehicular capacity on the roads has increased by as much as 25 per cent!

Implementing these road improvement projects showcases the authority’s commitment towards upgrading the infrastructure in Dubai so that the residents can benefit from the same. Not to mention, they are a part of the RTA’s quick traffic improvement plans. Yes, these carry out 45 traffic solutions in areas across the emirate between 2023 and 2024. As it happens, this road improvement will continue even in 2024, which will enhance the traffic flow at 31 sites in the emirate.

In fact, some of the previously carried road improvement projects have also reduced travel time from 15 minutes to just five minutes, such as on the intersection of Umm Suqeim Street and Al-Asayel Street. This reduction in travel time has been observed for exiting Al Barsha to Umm Suqeim Street.

So, with more such projects planned, it’s bound to make travelling on the roads smoother. And these developments really do show the authority’s commitment towards providing a smooth travel experience for commuters in the emirate.
