Not just the people in Dubai, but everybody around the globe knows that celebrations of the New Year in the city is truly quite astounding. And as the city gears up for one of its biggest New Year celebrations, a comprehensive plan for several security measures will be implemented. This will be done to ensure that visitors can have an enjoyable experience, all the while being safe.
Security Measures Announced For NYE
As revealed in a report by Khaleej Times, 10,000 security personnel will be deployed to secure mega-events. This includes several fireworks shows that are all set to light up the skies during the first few minutes of 2025. Besides this, 200 ambulances and 1,800 medical staff will be there on standby in case of any emergency. Not to mention, 10 hospitals are also going to be ready for urgent care in case the need arises.
Extra Parking Space Announced
Coming to the parking, adequate parking space will be available for people who are coming to watch the New Year’s Eve fireworks shows. Yes, the Dubai RTA has arranged for about 20,000 parking spaces at key locations of Zabeel, Dubai Mall, and Emaar Boulevard. Not to mention, alternative parking spaces will also be available in the areas of Al Wasl Club and Al Jaffiliya.
Moreover, for an enhanced experience, dedicated viewing areas have been arranged for workers that will feature large screens and meal services. Not to mention, special areas have also been designated for families and a separate zone is available for bachelors.

Several Road Closures Announced
Of course, significant road closures will be taking place from 4 PM on December 31 and major routes will be affected. This includes the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard and Burj Khalifa Street. Therefore, guests are advised to arrive at the venue before 4 PM in order to avoid any delay. Take a look at the following road closures On New Year’s Eve –
- Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard
- Financial Centre St’s Lower Deck
- Al Mustaqbal St
- Burj Khalifa St
- Al Asayel Road (this will be from the Oud Metha Road to Burj Khalifa)
- Al Sukuk St
- Upper level of the Financial Road
- Sheikh Zayed Road
Finally, the metro and the tram will operate 43 hours continuously but the Dubai Mall Metro Station will close at 5 PM. So with a comprehensive plan set in place for the people, it’s truly going to be a well-organised affair.
