You all must have heard of those advertisements that came earlier where a pizza brand actually promised 30-minute delivery. The best part of the commercial and the offer was that if the pizza delivery got delayed beyond the given time, the pizza was given for free. But in a weird incident, a businessman from Pune assaulted a delivery guy for late pizza deliveries. He also opened fire in the air.
Pune Businessman Assaults Guy On Late Pizza Delivery
The Pune police said on Wednesday that they had detained a 27-year-old businessman on Tuesday, accusing him of assaulting a delivery partner over a disagreement over the delayed delivery of a pizza he had ordered and of firing his licensed handgun in the air to frighten him.
The businessman, who goes by Chetan Vasant Padwal of Ozone Villas in Wagholi, was taken into custody, according to the police. Following an investigation, it was discovered that the accused had fired his licensed pistol in the air without permission.
Thankfully, no one was hurt in this incident, according to senior inspector Vishvajeet Kaingade of the Lonikand police station. As soon as the complaint was received, Padwal was taken into custody.
Under sections 308 (attempt to commit culpable homicide), 323 (causing pain), 504 (intentional insult to incite breach of peace), and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code, a first information report (FIR) was filed against him. (As per Hindustan Times)

A Heated Argument Took Place
According to a police officer, Chetan Padwal ordered a pizza at 10:30 p.m. using a mobile app, citing the complaint made against the stone-crushing firm owner.
A pizza place verified the order, and the delivery task was given to Rahul Ghorpade. Rushikesh Annapurne, an acquaintance, was with the delivery guy. It was close to 11 pm when Rahul Ghorpade arrived at Padwal’s residence to deliver the package.
The delivery was late, according to Chetan Padwal’s complaint. There was a heated argument between them. According to the police, the businessman assaulted Ghorpade and used derogatory comments. About 11:15pm, the businessman allegedly approached his car, took out a gun, and threatened Ghorpade and Annapurne when they refused. (As per Hindustan Times)

Bengaluru Delivery Partner Beaten Up
Hulsure was contacted by both delivery executives, who informed him of the situation. A little bit later, Hulsure, two other store employees, and the two delivery executives went to Padwal’s house to speak with him about the assault. After a disagreement, Padwal is said to have pummeled Hulsure as well.
In another incident, An 8-year-old girl claimed that her food delivery partner had forced her onto the building’s terrace. Residents and security personnel of an apartment complex in Bengaluru beat the man and contacted the police. Later on, though, surveillance camera evidence showed that the girl had been lying.
A couple was searching for their missing minor daughter found her on the rooftop of an apartment in Bengaluru’s Electronic City. When the girl was found she told her parents that she had been brought upstairs by a food delivery man and that she bit his hand to get out. (As per The Times Of India)
