1. Sleeping Pods At Dubai Mall

You can now enjoy your shopping experience even better as Dubai Mall introduces a new feature of sleeping pods in the mall itself to get rid of all the tiredness. We all know and are aware of Dubai being a shopper’s paradise where people love to indulge in shopping in malls. To make this experience even better, The Dubai Mall has introduced sleeping pods to take a quick nap to recover from all the tiredness of shopping.

2. Two New Heart-Shaped Lakes

When we say the sky’s the limit for Dubai, we really mean it. With man-made islands to getting sea water passing through the city, Dubai is known for making impossible things possible. Similarly, Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai recently revealed on Instagram two man-made lakes in the shape of intertwining hearts in between of a dessert. So the next time you visit a desert and see a love shaped river don’t be shocked. If that was not big enough then, there are trees planted beside the lake to spell out the word ‘love’. The heart shape lake is near Al Qudra lakes and is even visible on Google Maps.

3. Carrefour Launches World’s First Sail Thru Supermarket

Yacht passengers, jet-skiers and beach-goers will now be able to shop groceries and food with the help of ‘Carrefour Bites and More by the Shore’ which is the world’s first sail thru supermarket. Majid Al Futtaim, is one of the leading shopping mall, communities, retail and leisure pioneer across the Middle East. Having a Yacht or beach party and you are short of food, snacks or drinks?  Majid Al Futtaim launches ’Carrefour Bites and More by the Shore’ which is the world’s first sail thru supermarket. The sail thru supermarket will be open 6 days a week from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm and sells across 300 products.

4. Most Expensive Frame 

The Dubai Frame is the newest landmark of Dubai that lets you see the past, present & future. Dubai Frame is an addition to Dubai’s kitty of record-breaking structures. Located in Zabeel Park, the frame comprises of 2 towers, 150m each connected by a 93m long bridge at the top. It was designed by award-winning architect Fernando Donis, who also designed Dubai’s Porsche Design Towers, and the Dubai Renaissance Tower. It is estimated that the project is worth AED 160 million.

Its glass bottomed sky deck flaunts a 360-degree view of both old and new Dubai. A museum on its lower floor showcases Dubai’s journey from a humble fishing village to the global microcosm it has grown to today and a futuristic prediction of what Dubai will look like in 2050.

5. Dubai Finally Gets Its First Floating Swimming Pool

Breeze Beach Grill at Club Vista Mare on the Palm Jumeirah has launched Dubai’s first floating pool which lies 50 metres offshore. There are various fancy infinity pools and Insta worthy pools across the city, but Breeze Beach Grill at Club Vista Mare has taken the swimming pool game a level higher. It has introduced a floating pool which is located 50 meters offshore with 75 sunbeds at the floating deck around the pool. The pool is only open to adults and can be rented for private parties.
