The foot-tapping number, Dhat Teri Ki, featured the iconic Hard Rock Cafe on St Mark’s road and Skyye Lounge in UB City. As you watch the movie you can squeal with joy spotting touristy Bangalore locales like Freedom Park, KSRTC junkyard, Town Hall, swanky Orion Mall, Tamarind Tree and Blu-O.

2. 3 Idiots
How many times have you watched 3 Idiots? 10 times? Don’t lie, we know it’s more than that! Whether it’s the evergreen songs, hilarious dialogues, soul-stirring message and powerful performances by the star-cast — Aamir Khan, Sharman Joshi, Madhavan, Kareena Kapoor and Boman Irani— this film has a special place in our hearts. The memorable college scenes of 3 Idiots were shot in IIM Bangalore on Bannerghatta road. Well, IIM-B alumni can certainly spot their favourite haunts in those scenes.
3. Sholay
We’re pretty sure you know this already! The haunting rocky abode of Gabbar Singh in Sholay was shot in Ramnagara, a town nestled just 2 hours away from Bangalore. In fact, the crew built an entire township as part of the film sets in Ramnagara. After the massive success of the film, Ramdevarabetta, the rocky hills in the area are to date known as Sholay hills. Fans of the film travel all the way to Ramnagara, a popular trekking spot, just to click pictures for the ‘Gram at the Sholay locale. This is undoubtedly one of the most popular Bollywood films shot in Bangalore.

4. Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak
In Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, Raj (Aamir Khan) and Rashmi (Juhi Chawla) after a fallout with their families elope to seek refuge in each other’s company. This scene shows them strolling along green landscapes and bubbling streams. They walk up a rocky hilltop and make this their love nest while vibing to the melodious song, Akele Hai To Kya Gum Hai. 5. Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar
This is the third Aamir Khan film from our list to be featured in and around Bangalore. Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar has a scene where Aamir Khan’s character, Sanju claims a luxurious mansion to belong to his father. This mansion is actually the grand Bangalore Palace. Inspired by Windsor Castle, Bangalore Palace often piques the interest of tourists who like to explore the interiors bathed in history.
